2019 Event Highlights

2019 has been an incredible year and we want to thank all of our beautiful wedding couples, corporate clients, catering directors and event planners. Let’s look back!

We have had quite a year with accomplishments to be proud of, for sure. From 15-year loyal corporate clients to new wedding couples, rooftop proposals, fashion shows, and video shoots.

We started the year off with a spectacular New Year’s celebration at a wonderful Palm Beach Florida location – Café Boulud.  (Nice start LOL!) The next week we played at a holiday party for the most successful hedgefund in the world at the Garden City Hotel.

Later in January we performed for a wedding in a really cool spot in NoHo. It’s a wine cellar called Cave du Vin, located downstairs from the Lafayette Bakery.

Then, we began a 3-party nuptial for an amazing couple! One of the grooms was a ringbearer at a wedding we performed at many years ago. He decided that day when he grew up and got married, he would call upon the band Central Park Orchestra. So, he informed his partner to contact us for whatever events he was preparing. First, was a surprise proposal atop the Cartier Building (a first for Cartier). Second, an engagement party on another rooftop, the NoMad Hotel. Finally, the actual wedding took place at the iconic Lotte Palace Hotel.

In April, we performed at another legendary venue, Oheka Castle. This was an annual fundraiser hosted by Oheka owner, Gary Melius. The event was “Gold Coast Cares for St. Jude Children’s Hospital”. We are honored to be asked for the 5th year, to give back to such a worthy cause.

Every year we perform for at least one fashion show.  In 2019 we played at a NYC fashion show for an international fashion designer in the garment district and also at a bridal fashion show at Oheka Castle.

Over the summer, we returned to a beautiful place in Verona, NY (not far from Cooperstown) called The Turning Stone Casino. A few years ago we performed there for the legendary NY Yankees manager Joe Torre, for his induction into the MLB Hall of Fame.

We LoVermont, I guess that’s the state slogan. Well, we do! In September we performed for weddings 3 WEEKS IN A ROW!! The location, a magnificent spot called Hildene. It is the former summer home of President Abraham Lincoln’s son. Besides being a wedding venue it is a Lincoln Museum.

The Ireland Chamber of Commerce, USA, is an international organization that encourages business endeavors between our 2 countries. They hold an annual social/charity event at the iconic Plaza Hotel overlooking Central Park, and the proceeds go to sponsor things such as educational grants for young students. We have performed for this event every year for the past 15 years.

Other interesting and iconic venues we visited in 2019 include the Lotos Club (NYC), the Sands Point Preserve and the Muttontown Club, both on Long Island’s Gold Coast, Stirling Ridge Stone House, and the Westport Inn in Westport, Ct., to name a few. If we didn’t list your event here, we apologize. We cannot list every event.

We wrapped up the year with a return to the Greenwich Country Club in Greenwich, CT. This is our 3rd consecutive year playing at their Christmas Party for their members. They have already booked us back for 2020!

One other item not to be overlooked, The Vibe shot a new LIVE video!! Yay! There were no fixes, no overdubs, and definitely no pre-recorded lip-syncing. LIVE BABY!! Please check it out on our YouTube Channel.

Our DJ department, NY Beats DJs had a great year, as well. They did weddings, after hours parties, fashion shows and corporate events. A high percentage of clients added our uplighting packages. When done right, uplighting can add a nice touch.

As a result of all of these events we once again received the 2020 Couples’ Choice Award from WeddingWire. Woo-Hoo!!

Once again, thank you to everyone!! Here’s to a healthy and Happy New Year for all!!!
