In New York and Long Island, Thursday weddings have become popular. This past Thursday, we provided music and lighting for an intimate Oheka Castle wedding. LED uplighting enhanced the ambiance of the Grand Staircase. As you can see, it was still daylight. The lights have more effect when the sun goes down.

7th Avenue String Quartet performed for the wedding ceremony as well as the cocktail hour. They played traditional classical music for the wedding ceremony including “Air on the G String” by Bach, “Canon in D” by Pachebel for the processional and “Spring” from “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi. Then, for the cocktail hour (pictured below) they played popular music from Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Journey, Katy Perry, The Verve and Taylor Swift.

As guests entered the Terrace Room for the dinner reception and dancing, it was still daylight. But, the wireless LEDs around the perimeter of the room enhanced the look of the room. The bride and groom chose one of the best New York DJs, DJ Neza. Even though it was a small intimate group of guests, DJ Neza got everyone dancing!

The list of celebrities DJ Neza has played events for include Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian and the cast of Saturday Night Live. Most recently, he did a corporate event with Earth Wind & Fire.
